Typical Duties and Responsibilities

  • Utilize CAD/CAM software to create and modify designs and patterns for laser processing.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to set up and adjust laser machines accurately.
  • Monitor laser processes, making adjustments as needed to ensure high-quality output and efficiency.
  • Perform routine maintenance on laser equipment to ensure optimal operation and longevity.
  • Collaborate with the design and fabrication teams to optimize project designs for laser processing.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and standards in the operation of laser equipment.
  • Document operational parameters and project outcomes for continuous improvement and quality assurance purposes.


  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical certification or associate degree in a relevant field (e.g., machining, manufacturing technology) is preferred.
