Typical Duties and Responsibilities

  • Engineering Design: Design and develop wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, pipelines, and other infrastructure projects.
  • Technical Expertise: Apply your strong technical background to provide expertise in water treatment, wastewater treatment, pump stations, pipelines, conveyance, gravity sewer design, and water distribution systems.
  • Software Proficiency: Utilize Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and hydraulic modeling software to perform design calculations, create detailed drawings, and analyze hydraulic systems.
  • Project Engineering: Take a lead role in project engineering, overseeing the design process, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring project deliverables are met on time and within budget.
  • Project Management: Demonstrate project management skills to effectively plan, organize, and execute engineering projects, including budget management, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all design solutions comply with relevant regulatory standards, codes, and guidelines governing wastewater and water infrastructure projects.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 7-10 years of experience in engineering design, with a focus on wastewater treatment, water treatment, pump stations, pipelines, and conveyance systems.
  • Strong technical background and expertise in one or more of the specified categories.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and hydraulic modeling software.
  • Experience in project engineering and project management, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource management.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • Previous experience working in a consulting engineering firm or similar environment.
  • Familiarity with sustainable design principles and practices in wastewater and water infrastructure projects.
