Typical Duties and Responsibilities
- Design and develop systems and processes for pollution control, water and wastewater treatment, waste disposal, and other environmental protection measures.
- Lead and manage projects related to environmental engineering, including planning, budgeting, and execution.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, contractors, and government agencies to ensure project compliance and success.
- Conduct site assessments and remediation activities for contaminated land and water resources.
- Implement and oversee water resource management and soil remediation strategies.
- Utilize GIS, AutoCAD, and environmental simulation software for project design and analysis.
- Prepare technical reports, compliance documents, and project proposals.
- Stay abreast of advancements in environmental engineering and relevant regulations.
- Provide expert advice on environmental best practices and sustainability initiatives
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Master’s degree or advanced education in a relevant field is advantageous.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in designing systems for pollution control, water and wastewater treatment, and waste disposal.
- Strong background in water resource management and soil remediation.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in environmental engineering, particularly in waste treatment and site remediation.
- Proficiency in GIS, AutoCAD, and environmental simulation software.
- Demonstrated ability in project management, including planning, budgeting, and coordinating with various parties.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or similar certifications.
- Experience in sustainable environmental practices and technologies.
