Typical Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct precise field surveys using state-of-the-art equipment, ensuring accurate measurements for transportation projects.
  • Utilize AutoCAD, GIS, and specialized Surveying Software (e.g., Trimble Business Center, Leica Geo Office) for mapping, drafting, and data analysis.
  • Collaborate with engineering and planning teams to provide accurate survey data for the design and construction of transportation infrastructure.
  • Perform boundary surveys, topographic surveys, and construction staking in alignment with project requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, legal regulations, and project specifications during surveying activities.
  • Contribute to the development of detailed survey reports, maps, and drawings for project documentation.
  • Conduct research and analysis of existing survey data to inform decision-making and project planning.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience as a land surveyor, preferably in the transportation sector.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD for drafting and designing survey plans.
  • Familiarity with GIS for spatial analysis and data management.
  • Expertise in using Surveying Software such as Trimble Business Center and Leica Geo Office.
  • Strong knowledge of surveying instruments and techniques for field surveys.
