Typical Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct precise field surveys using state-of-the-art equipment, ensuring accurate measurements for transportation projects.
- Utilize AutoCAD, GIS, and specialized Surveying Software (e.g., Trimble Business Center, Leica Geo Office) for mapping, drafting, and data analysis.
- Collaborate with engineering and planning teams to provide accurate survey data for the design and construction of transportation infrastructure.
- Perform boundary surveys, topographic surveys, and construction staking in alignment with project requirements.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, legal regulations, and project specifications during surveying activities.
- Contribute to the development of detailed survey reports, maps, and drawings for project documentation.
- Conduct research and analysis of existing survey data to inform decision-making and project planning.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as a land surveyor, preferably in the transportation sector.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for drafting and designing survey plans.
- Familiarity with GIS for spatial analysis and data management.
- Expertise in using Surveying Software such as Trimble Business Center and Leica Geo Office.
- Strong knowledge of surveying instruments and techniques for field surveys.
