Typical Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all phases of water conveyance and distribution projects from conception to completion.
  • Coordinate with engineers, architects, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Oversee project scheduling, resource allocation, budgeting, and cost management.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Conduct risk management assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain effective communication with project teams and stakeholders to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
  • Prepare comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports and final project reports.
  • Resolve any arising issues or conflicts during the project lifecycle.
  • Foster a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety standards.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree in a relevant field is advantageous.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of direct experience in managing water conveyance system and distribution projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage complex projects effectively.
  • Proficient in project management tools and software.
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, especially related to water conveyance and distribution.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and decision-making skills.
  • Proven track record of managing budgets and project schedules.
