Typical Duties and Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Take a pivotal role in the successful execution of commercial construction projects, demonstrating expertise in offices, retail spaces, malls, hotels, institutional buildings, and industrial facilities.
- Site Management: Oversee all aspects of on-site construction activities, ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to project schedules.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to coordinate and manage construction activities efficiently.
- Quality Assurance: Implement rigorous quality control measures, ensuring that construction meets or exceeds industry standards and client expectations.
- Budget and Schedule Management: Monitor and manage project budgets and timelines, identifying potential issues and proposing solutions to keep projects on track.
- Problem Solving: Address challenges and resolve issues that may arise during construction, demonstrating adaptability and innovative problem-solving skills.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Required Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated experience as a Superintendent in the commercial construction sector, with a focus on offices, retail spaces, malls, hotels, institutional buildings, and industrial facilities.
- Proven track record of successfully managing commercial building projects in the $5-100M range.
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety standards.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage on-site construction teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration with project stakeholders.
- Thorough understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
- Familiarity with construction management software and tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant certifications in construction management or related field.
- Experience in Commercial, Healthcare, Educational, Multifamily, Hospitality, or Industrial construction projects.
