Typical Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct hydrological assessments and studies for diverse land development projects.
  • Collaborate closely with project teams to integrate hydrological considerations into designs.
  • Implement stormwater management strategies, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Utilize advanced software tools, including Hydrologic Modeling Software, MODFLOW-OWHM, SWMM, and other industry-specific applications, for modeling, analysis, and simulation.
  • Evaluate and interpret data from various sources, including GIS, remote sensing, and field measurements.
  • Develop and implement water resource management plans tailored to each project’s unique requirements.
  • Provide technical expertise in watershed management, groundwater studies, and hydraulic modeling.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Hydrology, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in hydrological modeling, analysis, and simulation.
  • Expertise in using Hydrologic Modeling Software, MODFLOW-OWHM, SWMM, and other relevant tools.
  • Strong understanding of stormwater management principles and best practices.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent data analysis and interpretation skills.
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations and permitting pro.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Professional Hydrologist (P.H.) certification.
  • Previous involvement in large-scale land development projects.
  • Advanced knowledge of hydrological modeling techniques.
