Typical Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed drawings and designs for land development projects using Revit and Civil 3D.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to conceptualize and draft project plans and layouts.
- Perform site evaluations and surveys to establish baseline data for designs.
- Ensure all designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Update and modify drawings based on project changes and feedback.
- Coordinate with other team members to integrate environmental, architectural, and other aspects into project plans.
- Assist in the preparation of documentation for project bids and proposals.
Education
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Drafting Technology, or a related field.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- At least 2 years of experience as a Civil Designer/Drafter in a land development environment.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and land development standards.
- Ability to interpret and apply building codes and regulatory requirements.
- Strong technical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with GIS platforms and other design software.
- Familiarity with sustainable design and green building practices.
- Experience in working with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of 3D modeling and visualization.
