Our client is a leading provider of engineering solutions specializing in stormwater management, flood mitigation, erosion control, and stream restoration projects. With a commitment to innovation and environmental stewardship, we offer opportunities to work on all project phases, from master planning to design and construction. Join our team as a Water Resource Engineer and contribute to the development of sustainable solutions that protect and enhance our natural resources.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities
- Stormwater Management Design: Plan and design stormwater management facilities to mitigate flooding and improve water quality in urban and natural environments.
- Site Drainage: Develop site drainage solutions to effectively manage stormwater runoff and prevent erosion.
- Storm Drain Improvements: Design improvements to storm drain systems to increase capacity and reduce the risk of flooding.
- Green Stormwater Infrastructure (GI): Implement green stormwater infrastructure techniques such as rain gardens, bioswales, and permeable pavements to manage stormwater runoff sustainably.
- Best Management Practices (BMPs): Design BMPs for water quality treatment, including detention basins, constructed wetlands, and filtration systems.
- Low-Impact Development (LID): Incorporate LID principles into project designs to minimize the impact of development on the natural environment.
- Green Streets: Design streetscapes that integrate stormwater management features such as bioswales and tree plantings to improve water quality and enhance urban aesthetics.
- Watershed Assessments: Conduct watershed assessments to evaluate the health of aquatic ecosystems and identify opportunities for restoration and improvement.
- Hydrologic and Hydraulic Modeling: Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling of stormwater facilities to assess performance and optimize design solutions.
