Typical Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all phases of water conveyance and distribution projects from conception to completion.
- Coordinate with engineers, architects, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
- Oversee project scheduling, resource allocation, budgeting, and cost management.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Conduct risk management assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
- Maintain effective communication with project teams and stakeholders to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
- Prepare comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports and final project reports.
- Resolve any arising issues or conflicts during the project lifecycle.
- Foster a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety standards.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree in a relevant field is advantageous.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 5-7 years of direct experience in managing water conveyance system and distribution projects.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage complex projects effectively.
- Proficient in project management tools and software.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, especially related to water conveyance and distribution.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Proven track record of managing budgets and project schedules.
