Typical Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of electronic circuits, systems, and hardware components for wearable medical devices and telemedicine solutions.
- Utilize simulation software such as Altium Designer, LTSpice, MATLAB, LabVIEW, and COMSOL Multiphysics to analyze and optimize electrical circuits and systems for performance, safety, and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electronic hardware with software and mechanical components.
- Conduct rigorous testing and validation of prototypes to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the transition from prototype to production, ensuring manufacturability and scalability of designs.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and regulatory submissions.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in wearable medical devices and telemedicine to drive innovation within the company.
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Research and Development within the medical or healthcare industry.
- Proven track record in designing and developing electronic circuits and systems for medical devices.
- Strong proficiency in simulation software such as Altium Designer, LTSpice, MATLAB, LabVIEW, IAR Embedded Workbench, and COMSOL Multiphysics.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements, including ISO 13485, IEC 60601, and FDA regulations for medical devices.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects from concept to production with a focus on innovation and quality.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
