We are a design and engineering staffing agency recruiting an Electrical Engineer for our client, a leading provider of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) design services for government, medical, library, educational facilities and more. Typical Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead site coordination and execution related to MEP matters, ensuring seamless integration of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Design electrical lighting, grounding, and power distribution systems for a variety of facilities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
  • Manage and supervise a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure project success.
  • Interpret codes and specifications, ensuring all designs and installations meet regulatory requirements.
  • Develop cable and conduit routing, electrical schematics, and panel wiring diagrams.
  • Oversee the installation and progress of MEP works, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and specifications.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure a cohesive approach to project development.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required.
  • Master’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a relevant discipline is preferred.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on MEP design for government, medical, library, and educational facilities.
  • Proficiency in HVAC systems, electrical circuit analysis, and Revit software.
  • Experience with arc flash analysis and mitigation.
  • Strong leadership skills with at least 5 years of experience managing or supervising a team.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in education or training related to electrical engineering or MEP design.
  • Proven track record of working on government, medical, library, and educational facilities.
