We are a staffing agency specialized in the recruitment of process control engineers. Our client has asked us to help them staff a Process Control Engineer for an opening at their company. They are a leading innovator in the field of specialty ingredients, dedicated to enhancing the quality of food, pharmaceutical, and industrial products. Their products are essential in improving texture, consistency, and stability in a wide range of applications, from jams and fruit drinks to confectionery and industrial uses.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain process control systems, including DCS and PLC systems, to ensure optimal performance and efficiency in manufacturing processes.
- Configure and maintain OPC, VBA, Allen Bradley DH+, Modbus, and ASi systems.
- Manage virtual servers (VMWare) and virtual LAN (VLAN) environments.
- Read and interpret I/O, loop drawings, and P&IDs to support process control activities.
- Administer Microsoft Windows systems and networking infrastructure.
- Lead and execute process control projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, supervisors, and managers, to drive process improvements and operational excellence.
- Provide technical guidance and support to ensure the effective operation of process control systems.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Education
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or other relevant Engineering discipline.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a controls role, preferably in manufacturing or chemical industry.
- Proficient with OPC, VBA, and able to maintain configuration of these systems.
- Working knowledge of Allen Bradley DH+, Modbus, and ASi systems.
- Experience with virtual servers (VMWare) and virtual LAN (VLAN).
- Demonstrated proficiency in DCS and PLC systems.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows administration and networking.
- Demonstrated project management skills.
