We are a design and engineering staffing agency that has found its niche in the recruitment of MEP Engineers. We are currently recruiting an MEP Engineer for our client,  a leading engineering firm specializing in the design and engineering of various building types, including multifamily, commercial, retail, industrial, and life science projects. Typical Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create schematic diagrams, single-line diagrams, and layouts for power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage systems.
  • Perform load calculations, voltage drop analysis, and short-circuit calculations to ensure the reliability and safety of electrical systems.
  • Utilize Revit and BIM software to develop detailed models and drawings for MEP systems.
  • Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate electrical systems into building designs seamlessly.
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations, including Building Code and Electrical Code, throughout the design and construction process.
  • Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during construction to ensure adherence to design specifications.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in electrical engineering and building design to continually enhance the quality of projects.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in MEP engineering with a focus on electrical engineering for building systems.
  • Proficiency in utilizing Revit and BIM software for electrical design and modeling.
  • Solid understanding of state regulations, including Building Code and Electrical Code.
  • Strong analytical skills for performing load calculations, voltage drop analysis, and short-circuit calculations.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience with sustainable design practices and energy-efficient building systems.
  • Familiarity with advanced electrical systems, such as renewable energy integration, smart building technologies, and energy management systems.
