Typical Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of sustainable and green building projects for mixed-use developments.
- Utilize Building Information Modeling (BIM) software, such as Autodesk Revit and Graphisoft ArchiCAD, to create detailed architectural models and drawings.
- Conduct energy modeling and analysis using software like EnergyPlus and DesignBuilder to optimize building performance and sustainability.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, designers, and contractors, to ensure integrated and sustainable design solutions.
- Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from concept development to construction documentation and administration.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in sustainable architecture and green building practices.
- Mentor junior architects and contribute to the professional development of the team.
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
- Professional Architectural licensure is required.
Required Skills and Experience
- 10+ years of experience in architectural design, with a strong focus on sustainable and green buildings.
- Proficiency in BIM software, such as Autodesk Revit and Graphisoft ArchiCAD.
- Experience with energy modeling software, such as EnergyPlus and DesignBuilder.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage complex architectural projects.
- Strong understanding of sustainable design principles, green building certifications, and environmental regulations.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) or similar green building certification.
- Experience with mixed-use development projects.
