Our client is a leading engineering firm specializing in the design of various building types, including multifamily, commercial, healthcare, retail, and industrial projects. They have asked us to help them staff Plumbing Engineers for their upcoming projects. Join their team of experts and contribute to the development of efficient and reliable plumbing systems.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, layout, and installation of plumbing systems for various building types, including water supply, drainage, and sanitary systems.
- Utilize software tools such as Revit, Navisworks, PlumbingCad, and HydraCad for plumbing design and coordination.
- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate plumbing systems into building designs seamlessly.
- Conduct hydraulic calculations and ensure compliance with local and national plumbing codes.
- Prepare technical documentation, including plumbing specifications, material selection, and installation guidelines.
- Oversee the fabrication and installation of plumbing systems, ensuring adherence to project specifications and timelines.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Master’s degree in a related field is preferred.
Required Skills and Experience
- 7+ years of experience in plumbing engineering for various building types.
- Proficiency in using Revit, Navisworks, PlumbingCad, and HydraCad.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing design principles, material selection, and fabrication processes.
- Familiarity with local and national plumbing codes and regulations.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Experience with sustainable design practices and water-efficient plumbing solutions.
- Familiarity with advanced plumbing materials and technologies.
- Proven track record of successful project management and leadership in plumbing engineering.
