Typical Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, layout, and installation of piping systems for various industries, including oil and gas, industrial, and government/municipal projects.
- Utilize software tools such as CAESAR II, Pipe-Flo, PDMS, or SmartPlant 3D for piping design and analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including process engineers, mechanical engineers, and project managers, to ensure seamless integration of piping systems.
- Conduct stress analysis and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Prepare technical documentation, including piping specifications, material selection, and installation guidelines.
- Oversee the fabrication and installation of piping systems, ensuring adherence to project specifications and timelines.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Master’s degree in a related field is preferred.
Required Skills and Experience
- 7+ years of experience in piping engineering for oil and gas, industrial, and petrochemical projects.
- Proficiency in using CAESAR II, Pipe-Flo, and experience with PDMS or SmartPlant 3D.
- Strong knowledge of piping design principles, material selection, and fabrication processes.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to piping systems.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Experience in sustainable design and energy-efficient piping solutions.
- Familiarity with advanced piping materials and technologies.
- Proven track record of successful project management and leadership in piping engineering.
