Job Description:
The Survey Technician will report to the Survey Department Manager.
The Survey Technician’s main job responsibilities include working with CAD systems to create and modify drawings and surveys for clients. The individual is required to work on multiple assignments with overlapping schedules and needs to be able to multi-task to accomplish all tasks. Specific responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Process analyze and draft field and recorded survey data.
Use survey field data to create drawings and surveys using CAD software.
Interpret construction plans and calculate stakeout points for survey field crews.
Produce easements for utilities and rights-of-way.
Create land title surveys utilizing ALTA/ACSM guidelines.
Required Qualifications:
The following criteria are considered minimum required qualifications for the position.
High school graduate or associate degree
2-3 years drafting and field experience
Proficient in AutoCAD
