San Diego, CA (Hybrid / Remote Flexibility)

Build Data-Driven Applications. Contribute from Day One.

A growing, San Diego-based company is seeking a hands-on Full Stack Developer with strong, production-level React experience to join their engineering team.

This is not a ramp-up role.

We are looking for someone who can step into an existing codebase and immediately contribute—building features, solving problems, and helping elevate the technical bar across the team.

What We’re Really Looking For

We’re targeting engineers who:

  • Understand why a solution works—not just how to implement it
  • Can break down ambiguous problems and work toward a solution
  • Are comfortable thinking out loud and collaborating in real time
  • Bring curiosity and a desire to continuously improve technically
  • Can contribute independently from Day 1

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Build and enhance features in a production React application (Next.js + TypeScript)
  • Develop and maintain .NET 6+ backend services and APIs
  • Design and justify technical solutions, including trade-offs and scalability considerations
  • Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code
  • Debug and resolve complex production issues using structured problem-solving
  • Write and optimize SQL queries against large datasets
  • Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions
  • Collaborate with engineers to raise the overall technical bar

Required Qualifications (Read Carefully)

  • 3+ years of professional software development experience
  • Strong, hands-on React experience in a production environment
    • (Not personal projects, bootcamps, or coursework)
  • Experience with:
    • React / Next.js
    • TypeScript / JavaScript (ES6+)
  • Backend development with:
    • C# / .NET 6+
    • REST and/or GraphQL APIs
  • Strong SQL skills (writing, tuning, optimizing queries)
  • Ability to contribute to production code independently from Day 1
  • Comfortable discussing real-world implementations, trade-offs, and debugging approaches

This Role Is NOT a Fit If

  • Your React experience is limited to personal or academic projects
  • You are primarily backend-focused and looking to learn front-end on the job
  • You struggle to reason through problems in real time
  • You prefer being told exactly what to build vs. owning solutions

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AWS (serverless, Lambda, state machines, etc.)
  • Experience working on a SaaS platform
  • Familiarity with microservices or event-driven architectures
  • Exposure to distributed systems
  • AWS Certifications (Associate or Professional)
  • Experience with data-heavy or analytics-driven applications

T ech Stack

  • Frontend: React, Next.js, TypeScript
  • Backend: C#, .NET 6+, REST/GraphQL APIs
  • Data: SQL
  • Cloud: AWS
  • Tools: GitHub, modern CI/CD pipelines

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive salary
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Flexible Spending Accounts
  • Paid time off

What Success Looks Like

Within your first 30–60 days, you will:

  • Be actively contributing to React features in production
  • Collaborating on real deliverables with minimal ramp-up
  • Demonstrating structured problem-solving and technical ownership
