POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Engineering Manager will provide proactive support all critical areas within the product lifecycle from initial design through manufacturing and commissioning while promoting a collaborative environment conducive to innovation and maximum customer satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Directly supervise engineering teams and maintain operating budgets and schedules and reporting.
- Support AOP and strategic plan development through technical and engineering budgets.
- Hire, train, and mentor engineering staff to ensure a strong technical and operational foundation short and long-term.
- Expand and optimize the engineering team's core work (ECOs, ECRs, BOM system) in centralized cloud-based CRM-PDM-PLM-MRP-ERP system with the objective of increasing productivity and quality while reducing cost.
- Improve workflows for Pre-engineered and Engineer to Order work to effectively support technical and manufacturing teams.
- Maintain and develop engineering standards, best practices, and processes in revision controlled procedures in Propel and Knowledge base.
- Oversee production on engineering projects to ensure timely completion.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
7-10+ years in management
BS in Engineering field (MS Preferred)
Knowledgeable about the state of the art, standards, and norms in the food equipment
industry domestically and internationally
Experience with documentation and engineering change management processes in PLM
and with ERP interface
