Position Overview:
We are looking for a motivated Inside Sales and Support Representative with 2-3 years of experience from the aerospace/aviation, defense/military, or medical component manufacturing sectors. This key role involves managing quoting and order systems, procurement of hardware and raw materials, coordination of external processing services for parts being treated elsewhere, and direct customer interactions to ensure timely and successful order fulfillment.
Key Responsibilities:
I. Quoting and Order Management: Handle customer inquiries, generate accurate quotations, process customer orders, and maintain internal tracking systems.
II. Procurement: Utilize ERP/MRP systems to source, order, and track hardware, materials, and components necessary for production.
III. Outside Processing Coordination: Track and manage external processing services such as plating, anodizing, chem-film, and grinding, ensuring timely turnaround and quality compliance.
IV. Customer Service: Provide proactive and responsive customer support, keeping clients informed about order status, and promptly addressing any questions or issues.
V. Collaboration: Coordinate closely with production, quality assurance, shipping, and supply chain teams to maintain seamless workflow and accurate inventory management.
Qualifications:
I. Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of inside sales, support, procurement, or related experience specifically within the aerospace machining industry.
II. Technical Skills: Experience with ERP/MRP systems for inventory management, quoting, and order tracking. Competent in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
III. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers and internal teams.
IV. Organizational Skills: Detail-oriented with strong multitasking capabilities to manage diverse responsibilities simultaneously.
V. Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot, anticipate challenges, and implement effective solutions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
I. Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
