Title: Quality Inspector
Compensation: $24.00 – $28.00 per hour

Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to perform comprehensive dimensional, functional, and visual inspections on a wide variety of electronic hardware and electromechanical components including precision subassemblies used in mission critical applications in the air and at sea. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys hands-on functional testing and inspection work, thrives in a fast-paced production environment, and is comfortable using both manual and electronic inspection tools.

Key Responsibilities:
•Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections of custom-manufactured parts and electromechanical assemblies according to engineering specifications and inspection procedures.
•Use specialized fixtures and tools to evaluate part conformity, including digital multimeters (DMM), custom-built testing equipment, and standard mechanical gauges.
•Execute first article inspections in compliance with AS9102 standards when applicable.
•Record inspection results accurately in internal quality tracking software to ensure compliance and traceability.
•Identify and report product nonconformities. Collaborate with production and quality engineering teams to document findings through Non-Conformance Material Reports (NCMRs) and Corrective Action Requests (CARs).
•Prioritize inspection workload based on production schedules and internal demand, communicating effectively with cross-functional teams.
•Support quality improvement initiatives by providing feedback on inspection trends and recurring issues.
•Maintain organized records of all quality documentation, ensuring traceability and regulatory compliance.
•Provide clear, concise feedback on quality standards to assembly and manufacturing teams.

Education & Experience:
•Associate degree in a technical or engineering discipline preferred OR equivalent functional testing and inspection experience
•2+ years of hands-on experience in a mechanical or electronic inspection role within a precision manufacturing environment.
•Familiarity with regulated industries such as aerospace, defense, or medical devices is a plus.

Technical Skills:
•Strong understanding of technical drawings and schematics, including Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
•Experience with standard metrology equipment such as calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, height gauges, and force gauges.
•Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat for documentation and reporting.
•Comfortable using electronic measurement devices, including digital multimeters and specialized electrical test setups.
•Working knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, and AS9102 standards.
