SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer with a strong technical background in mass production processes and quality assurance for the telecommunications and automotive industry. The ideal candidate will ensure that production processes are efficient, reliable, and meet the highest quality standards. This role involves overseeing the end-to-end production and design process, driving continuous improvements, and ensuring that products comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS: Education:
o Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
Experience:
o Minimum 5 years of experience in mass production and quality assurance
roles within the telecommunications industry or similar hardware
manufacturing sectors.
o Proven experience with large-scale production, quality control techniques, and
industry best practices.
Technical Skills:
o Strong understanding of telecommunication products and their
manufacturing processes.
o Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS), such as ISO 9001, TL
9000, or similar.
o Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma methodologies, and statistical
process control (SPC).
o Hands-on experience with failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), root
cause analysis (RCA), and implementing corrective actions.
o Proficiency in production software tools and quality analysis software (e.g.,
Minitab, SAP, etc.).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Production Quality Control:
o Implement and monitor quality control systems for mass production, ensuring compliance with telecommunications industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, TL 9000).
o Develop and oversee in-line and final product inspection procedures to ensure product quality throughout the production process.
o Perform root cause analysis and corrective action for defective products and processes, driving quality improvement initiatives.
Mass Production Process Optimization:
o Lead the setup, monitoring, and improvement of mass production processes to maximize efficiency and reduce waste.
o Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to transition products from development to high-volume production.
o Develop and optimize assembly line processes for telecom hardware and components, ensuring scalability and repeatability.
o Implement lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies to enhance production efficiency and quality.
Supplier Quality Management:
o Work closely with suppliers to ensure the quality of materials and components used in production.
o Establish and manage incoming inspection protocols for raw materials, ensuring supplier compliance with quality specifications.
Compliance and Standards:
o Ensure all production processes comply with regulatory standards, including telecom-specific certifications and international quality standards.
o Maintain up-to-date knowledge of telecommunications regulations and work closely with the compliance team to ensure ongoing adherence.

Continuous Improvement & Reporting:
o Analyze production data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions to continually improve product quality and production performance.
o Prepare and present reports on quality metrics, defects, production yields, and improvement initiatives to management.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
o Partner with R&D, design, and manufacturing teams to ensure new products are manufacturable at scale with high-quality standards.
o Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure manufacturability and contribute to design for manufacturability (DFM) initiatives.
