The Houston operation focuses heavily on assembly and integration work for data centers and process-driven industrial environments, requiring tight dimensional control, repeatable inspection processes, and robust metrology practices.
Position Summary
The Quality Control Inspector ensures products meet established quality standards and customer specifications through precise start-up, in-process, and final inspections.
This is a hands-on inspection role requiring strong dimensional measurement skills, blueprint interpretation, and familiarity with structured Quality Management Systems (QMS).
The ideal candidate brings experience in plastic components, mechanical assemblies, or high-volume manufacturing environments and is comfortable working independently on shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform start-up, in-process, and final inspections in accordance with internal quality procedures and customer specifications
- Conduct dimensional inspections using:
- Calipers
- Micrometers
- Pin gauges
- Height gauges
- Go/No-Go gauges
- Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM)
- Inspect first articles, sample runs, and tooling/process modifications
- Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T symbols
- Monitor SPC data and identify out-of-control trends
- Conduct capability studies and assist with process validation activities
- Document inspection results and nonconformances (NCMR, VRR, RMA)
- Ensure proper segregation and quarantine of nonconforming material
- Verify labeling and packaging compliance prior to shipment
- Enter inspection data into internal quality tracking systems
- Communicate shift hand-off information to oncoming inspectors
- Maintain inspection equipment and notify team of calibration concerns
- Support training of new operators and inspectors as needed
- Promote adherence to quality and safety standards
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of Quality Inspection experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills
- Hands-on experience with precision measuring tools
- Experience working within ISO-based Quality Systems
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry and reporting
- Strong attention to detail and independent work capability
- Preferred (not required):
- Experience in plastic injection molding or assembly environments
- Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO 13485 standards
- Experience with CMM operation

- Climate-controlled industrial manufacturing setting
