The mechanical Engineer’s role is toapply knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling and materials for strategic projects and embedded hardware platforms. This individual will work under the guidance of the company President and Director of Engineering and in collaboration with other engineering areas.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform basic electrical engineering concepts and electronics packaging techniques
  • Creation of 3 dimensional modeling using Solidworks
  • Creation of detailed assembly and fabricated drawings
  • Successful use of manufacturing methods, procedures and processes
  • Continuous improvement of manufacturing documentation processes
  • Interface with customers
  • Collaboration with production to transition products from development
  • Planning, managing and execution of multiple design activities while maintaining quality, cost and scheduling requirements

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Solidworks
  • Recent hands on experience in mechanical, new product design, acceptance testing including documentation

  • Strong communication and leadership ability
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other engineering disciplines
  • Creativity and self-motivation to solve unique and complex technical problems
  • Desire to lead teams and be promoted to higher levels of responsibility
  • Knowledge of Microsoft products including Windows 7, Word, Excel,
  • Aerospace and Military standards and project RPF is desirable
  • Excellent oral and written English skills
  • U.S Citizen/Person Required

Required Education/Experience:

  • 7+ years recent hands-on experience within an Aerospace, Defense or Space Environment.
  • BA in Mechanical Engineering or other related engineering discipline

Preferred Education/Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or other engineering related field.
