Mechanical Designer

Company Overview:

Our long-time industrial filtration client specializes in the design and commissioning of industrial process emissions control systems for mitigating particulate and gaseous pollution in a plethora of processing environments. Their highly sophisticated components and systems cater to a broad spectrum of sectors including chemical, industrial, metallurgical, medical, and pathological waste treatment with the application of condensers, absorbers, quenchers, Venturi scrubbers, and precipitators. All systems are innovatively designed in-house and brought to life by their network of trusted suppliers.

Position Summary:

The Mechanical Designer role is a dynamic and integral part of the engineering team. You will be collaborating closely with Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Engineering Leadership to generate sophisticated 3D models and technical drawings. This is a long-term contract position offering a valuable opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects in environmental technology aimed at mitigating the environmental impact of critical processes and operations.

Responsible for 3D and technical drawing generation including:

• Mechanical design, routing, and new part creation
• Updating models and drawings based on customer and vendor feedback
• Documentation and manuals

Required Qualifications:

• AA in drafting or B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering
• Proficiency with SolidWorksTM
• 6 months to 5 years of experience designing piping systems including valves, process instruments, and pumps

Nice to Have:

• Experience with structural steel
• Experience with pressure vessel design
