(Electron Beam Welding)

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Machine Operator to operate and maintain our semi-robotic welding machines. These machines are not fully automated, and a successful candidate will be responsible for performing manual adjustments, executing maintenance routines, and ensuring continuous operation of Electron Beam, Arc/TIG, and Spot-welding equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate robotic welding machinery, performing tasks such as Electron Beam Welding, TIG Welding, and Spot Welding.
  • Perform welding on various materials, including oxidized and non-oxidized stainless steel and Inconel to stainless steel surfaces.
  • Execute machine maintenance, including filter changes, cleaning, and replacing consumable materials on a scheduled basis.
  • Develop troubleshooting skills to diagnose and rectify operational issues with welding machines.
  • May support other manufacturing operations, such as assembly, based on the company’s needs, as mentioned in the general staffing document.
  • Ensure quality control of welded components and adherence to specified welding parameters and standards.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in welding is a plus.
  • Proven experience in operating welding machinery and performing machine maintenance.
  • Willingness to learn Electron Beam Welding and Arc/TIG Welding techniques.
  • Ability to read and work from established prints and drawings.
  • Keen attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with very small components.
  • Experience in an AS9100D/ISO 9001 certified production environment is preferred.
