Title: Pneumatic Grinder/Deburr Technician

Location: Santa Clarita/Valencia Area
Compensation: $45,000-$56,000 Base + Overtime
Realistic Compensation After Overtime: $60,000-$79,000
Shift: 6am to 6pm, M-F

Position Summary:
Our client seeking experienced Pneumatic Grinders/Deburr Technicians for critical projects supporting some of the biggest names in the aerospace industry. This advanced position requires individuals who can work independently to perform deburring operations on parts of varying complexity and materials. Operators must proficiently use all applicable deburr media and tools, exhibit high skill in print reading, and understand customer specifications. They will also perform rework operations, assist, and train lower-level employees, and help develop new deburr operation processes for new parts. This role typically requires 5-7 years of experience.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Finish materials to close tolerances and examine workpieces for defects.
  • Secure workpieces to benches or tables and guide handheld pneumatic grinders, polishers, and deburring tools over workpieces to remove necessary material and other defects according to specifications.
  • Select the correct grade of abrasive belts, wheels, or disks based on specifications, knowledge of abrasives, and the condition of the metal to attach to the grinder.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret plans, work orders, blueprints, or drawings to determine necessary manual deburring operations.
  • Extensive knowledge of hand tools, handheld pneumatic grinders, polishers, and manual deburring tools.
  • Ability to use measuring tools and examine parts for defects.
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs.

Required Experience:
5-7 years of experience, preferably in an aerospace manufacturing environment.

Education Requirements  
GED or High School diploma preferred but not required.
