About the Role

We are seeking an experienced iOS Mobile App Developer to join our client’s dynamic development team in Los Angeles on a contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining high-performance, reliable iOS applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and implement new features.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build advanced applications for the iOS platform using Swift and Objective-C
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
  • Work with outside data sources and APIs
  • Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
  • Work on bug fixes and improve application performance
  • Continuously Client, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional iOS development experience
  • Proficiency in Swift; experience with Objective-C is a plus
  • Strong understanding of iOS UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
  • Experience with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, Core Graphics, and Core Text
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services
  • Knowledge of Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines
  • Understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
  • Familiarity with continuous integration

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SwiftUI and Combine framework
  • Knowledge of architectural patterns (MVC, MVVM, VIPER)
  • Experience with reactive programming (RxSwift)
  • Understanding of clean code principles and SOLID design
  • Experience with Core ML or ARKit
  • Prior work with Agile development methodologies
  • App Store submission experience
  • Portfolio of shipped iOS apps

Contract Details

  • 6-month initial contract with possibility of extension or conversion
  • Pay rate: $75 – 120 per hour
  • Flexible work arrangements with partial remote options
