About the Role
We are seeking an experienced iOS Mobile App Developer to join our client’s dynamic development team in Los Angeles on a contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining high-performance, reliable iOS applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and implement new features.
Responsibilities
- Design and build advanced applications for the iOS platform using Swift and Objective-C
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Work with outside data sources and APIs
- Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
- Work on bug fixes and improve application performance
- Continuously Client, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional iOS development experience
- Proficiency in Swift; experience with Objective-C is a plus
- Strong understanding of iOS UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
- Experience with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, Core Graphics, and Core Text
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services
- Knowledge of Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines
- Understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
- Familiarity with continuous integration
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SwiftUI and Combine framework
- Knowledge of architectural patterns (MVC, MVVM, VIPER)
- Experience with reactive programming (RxSwift)
- Understanding of clean code principles and SOLID design
- Experience with Core ML or ARKit
- Prior work with Agile development methodologies
- App Store submission experience
- Portfolio of shipped iOS apps
Contract Details
- 6-month initial contract with possibility of extension or conversion
- Pay rate: $75 – 120 per hour
- Flexible work arrangements with partial remote options
