ID/OD Grinder able to operate Manual & NC ID/OD Grinders, working from drawings and sketches.)
Job Specific Responsibilities/Qualifications:
Knowledge of measuring instruments required for general machine shop use.
Possess knowledge of working properties of Aerospace metals and skill with Grinding Machines to plan, Set-Up & carry out the operations needed to make ground products that meet their precise specifications.
Use the proper measuring tools in order to check the accuracy of their work against blueprints.
Have the ability to set-up & operate Manual & NC Grinders & other machine shop equipment.
Able to read blueprints.
Adhere to safe operating procedures.
Self-motivated, hardworking, analytical, and trustworthy.
US Citizenship or Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years ID/OD Grinding experience (Manual & NC ID/OD Grinders).
Mechanically inclined individual with good problem-solving ability.
Able to produce accurate work (tolerances reach +/-.0005 of an inch).
Mathematical machining skills required.
Proficient working with conventional & NC ID/OD grinders.
Familiarization with Aerospace Materials.
Minimum of a High school diploma or equivalent.
