Electrical BIM/CAD Technician
(Some college engineering courses recommended)
- General Proficiency Requirements:

- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Etc.)
- Bluebeam
- Navigate and perform functions in AutoCAD and Revit
- Identify applicable sections of plans and specifications
- Identify necessary symbology on construction drawings
- Identify interdependent systems/components for coordination
- Setup drawings at beginning of project
- Completed training with CAD & BIM Managers
- Update backgrounds during project
- Completed training with CAD & BIM Managers
- Perform all necessary functions in AutoCAD and Revit
- Knowledge of LP Drafting Standards and drafting resources
- Extracting pertinent data from product cutsheets
- Translate Designer and Project Manager diagrammatic markups onto drawings
- Printing and packaging plan sets for transmittal
- Discipline Specific Proficiency Requirements:
- Knowledge of industry standard lighting symbology
- Knowledge of industry standard power symbology
- Ability to read and draw lighting and power details
- Ability to read and draw one-line diagrams
- Ability to model major conduit runs, both overhead and underground
- Understanding of physical size and space requirements for lighting and power systems
Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 5:30 pm and remote on Fridays from 8-12 after completed training. Salary is dependent on experience and the range is $ 25 to $ 31 per hour.
