Our client is a cutting-edge manufacturer specializing in roll-to-roll converting of flexible materials for high-spec industries including medical, aerospace, and electronics. They operate state-of-the-art rotary die cutting, slitting, laminating, and punch press systems to produce precision components for demanding applications. This is a direct-hire opportunity for skilled Machine Operators looking to expand their career in an ISO-certified environment with excellent benefits and long-term stability.

Position Summary:

The Machine Operator Level II will independently operate and set up high-speed converting equipment, ensuring production accuracy and efficiency. Candidates with experience in flexible packaging, label printing, paper converting, or plastic film processing, especially those familiar with roll-to-roll equipment—are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot web-based machinery including rotary die cutters, slitting systems, laminators, and automatic punch presses
  • Perform precision equipment setups and changeovers per work order and engineering drawings
  • Inspect parts throughout production using micrometers, calipers, and visual criteria; document results per ISO/GMP standards
  • Execute and document kiss cutting, island placement, multi-layer lamination, and other converting operations as needed
  • Assist with product development runs and prototyping
  • Maintain clean and organized workstations in compliance with 5S and cleanroom protocols
  • Collaborate with quality, engineering, and production staff to meet delivery timelines and quality expectations
  • Accurately complete job travelers, inspection forms, and production records using Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
  • Handle materials safely and efficiently—must be able to lift 50 lbs and remain on feet for the majority of the shift



Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years of hands-on machine operating experience in converting, printing, laminating, or related roll-to-roll manufacturing
  • Familiarity with rotary die-cutting equipment such as Mark Andy, Delta ModTech, or Allied Gear
  • Skilled in using slitting machines (e.g., Arrow, Karville, REM) for tight-tolerance web handling
  • Experience with laminators like Walco or equivalent, including pressure-sensitive and thermal lamination
  • Working knowledge of converting terms like kiss cutting, island placement, score/shear/razor slitting, PSA adhesives, and multi-layer assembly
  • Ability to read technical drawings, set up equipment, and make mechanical adjustments as needed
  • Comfortable in a regulated ISO 9001:2008 or ISO 13485 production environment
  • Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and documentation accuracy
  • Fluent in English; able to lift 50 lbs and spend most of the day on the production floor
