The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems, basic electrical work on 480V, and a foundation in automated industrial equipment maintenance, with a proactive, safety-first approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems on CNC and manual machine tools, including lathes, mills, grinders, and specialized production machinery.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on a wide range of equipment to minimize downtime and ensure smooth production operations.
  • Replace, align, and adjust worn or damaged machine components, including bearings, belts, gears, drive motors, pumps, and fluid lines.
  • Assist in the installation, relocation, and commissioning of new or transferred machinery and equipment within the facility.
  • Maintain and repair facility infrastructure such as air compressors, HVAC units, shop lighting, plumbing systems, and overhead hoists or cranes as needed.
  • Perform light fabrication, welding, and machining tasks to assist with repairs or equipment modifications.
  • Use diagnostic tools (multimeters, test gauges, etc.) to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues efficiently.
  • Keep detailed maintenance logs, records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance schedules.
  • Collaborate closely with production, engineering, and management teams to prioritize repair needs and support safe, efficient operations.
  • Ensure strict adherence to company safety standards, OSHA regulations, and lockout/tagout procedures at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably within a machining, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environment.
  • Proven expertise servicing CNC and manual machine tools (mills, lathes, etc.).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of drive systems, bearings, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical circuits.
  • Experience with rigging and safely relocating large industrial machinery.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Basic welding, torch cutting, or metal fabrication skills preferred.
  • Familiarity with industrial maintenance tools such as hoists, cranes, forklifts, and lift platforms.
  • Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • High school diploma or GED required; additional vocational training or certifications in industrial maintenance, machining, or related fields a plus.
