Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team on the 1st shift with a competitive pay range of $30-$50/hour. The ideal candidate will operate HAAS Mills & Lathes and work from drawings and sketches using manual machine shop equipment. This role requires strong interfacing capabilities with shop personnel and direct interaction with engineering to achieve project goals.
Qualifications
- Experience using HAAS controls (mill and lathe)
- Programming experience, preferably with MasterCAM
- Mechanically inclined with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to produce accurate work with tolerances reaching .0005” -.001” of an inch
- Strong mathematical machining skills
- Proficient in working with HAAS lathes and mills
- Familiarity with aerospace materials
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to create subroutines in MDI
- Knowledge in editing programs to meet specific part requirements
- Good understanding of feeds and speeds for various materials
- Proficient in fixture and part setup
- Skilled in using various gaging equipment (OD/ID micrometers, depth gages, height gages, bore gages, etc.)
- Solid background in reading drawings conforming to ASME Y14.5 standards
