Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Machinist to join our team. This position involves the setup, operation, and maintenance of advanced 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC lathes and mills, ensuring the production of high-quality parts with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of machining practices, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently under production deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, maintain, and operate 3, 4, and 5-axis lathes and mills from Haas and DMG Mori.
• Operate machines to produce production and prototype parts independently.
• Review work orders to understand part specifications and requirements.
• Set up tooling and fixtures with precision and minimal guidance.
• Perform periodic inspections to ensure parts meet tight tolerances and quality standards.
• Demonstrate knowledge and proficiency in operating Haas and DMG Mori controls.
• Edit CNC programs under supervision to address dimensional issues during setup.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3 to 7 years of experience in CNC machining and a manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record of expertise in machining with Haas and/or DMG Mori equipment.

Skills and Abilities:

• Strong knowledge of blueprint and schematic reading.
• Proficiency in using measurement tools, such as calipers and micrometers.
• Basic to intermediate math skills for precise calculations.
• Ability to work effectively under tight production deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of CNC machining experience (required).
• Successful completion of a criminal background check.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
