Job Title: Civil Engineer I / II

Location: Irvine, CA

Employment Type: Full-Time, W-2 Benefited

Compensation: $80,000/yr.- $101,000/yr.

Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a motivated Civil Engineer I or II to join a growing civil engineering consulting team focused on designing and delivering municipal infrastructure and land development projects throughout Southern California. This is an ideal role for an early-career engineer who is eager to expand their technical skill set while working under the guidance of licensed engineers and senior project managers.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of grading, drainage, utility, street, and site development plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Perform engineering calculations including hydrology, storm drain sizing, utility demand, and earthwork volumes
  • Support plan preparation, report writing, and agency submittals for public and private sector clients
  • Review municipal standards and integrate jurisdictional requirements into project design
  • Collaborate with project engineers, designers, and CAD staff to meet deliverable deadlines
  • Perform field research or site visits as needed to support design accuracy and constructability


Qualifications, Skills, & Experience:

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (required)

Experience:

  • 1 to 4 years of relevant civil engineering experience

Software Proficiency:

  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is required
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and technical report preparation

Other Skills:

  • Solid understanding of grading design, hydrology, and utility layout
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work independently while taking direction in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Engineering-in-Training (EIT) certification or working toward it
  • Experience working with Southern California jurisdictions (LA County, OC Public Works, etc.)
