Civil Engineer

Our client is a full service civil engineering and land surveying entity with over four decades of experience. Located in Carlsbad, CA, we specialize in various sectors, including public works, utilities, industrial, commercial, retail, and housing projects. Our expertise extends to land development, street improvement, sewer, water, and stormwater infrastructure for public works, private development projects, educational, hospitality, and healthcare facilities.

Role Overview:
We are seeking a full-time entry-level Civil Engineer to join our engineering design team. This individual will operate under the direction of a Project Manager and collaborate with other engineers, designers, and technicians.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparation of grading, roadway, site development, and utility (sewer, water, storm drain) plans and reports.
• Project property research, preliminary designs, and tentative maps.
• Boundary and easement plotting.
• Survey and construction staking calculations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field.
• A minimum of 1 year of relevant design experience.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D; knowledge of MicroStation is a plus.
• Knowledge of hydrology and water quality design.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
