Calibration Technician

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Calibration Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for the calibration, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic and high-voltage equipment in accordance with established procedures, quality standards, and customer requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong technical aptitude, hands-on electronics experience, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

Schedule & Compensation

  • Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday
  • Compensation: $32.00 – $35.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Technical education in electronics, electrical technology, instrumentation, or related field; equivalent hands-on experience will also be considered
  • Experience with electronic measurement, troubleshooting, calibration, and/or repair techniques
  • Experience in electronic assembly and use of standard hand tools
  • Familiarity with electronic test equipment including:
    • Digital multimeters
    • Oscilloscopes
    • Power supplies and related diagnostic equipment
  • Basic soldering and component-level repair skills
  • Experience working within ISO 9001 and/or ISO/IEC 17025 quality management systems preferred
  • High-voltage calibration or testing experience is preferred, but not required

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple assignments effectively
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate across departments to resolve customer and technical issues efficiently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word
  • Ability to follow written procedures, specifications, and technical documentation
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and problem-solving skills

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform calibration, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of high-voltage and electronic devices in accordance with approved procedures and specifications
  • Accurately document calibration data, repairs, and work performed
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality requirements
  • Review questionable test results and data interpretations with the Lab Manager as needed
  • Maintain calibration records and support traceability requirements
  • Assist in maintaining laboratory equipment and work areas in a clean and organized manner
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and uphold quality management system standards
  • Comply with all company safety policies and procedures

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working in a calibration laboratory or electronics testing environment
  • Exposure to high-voltage systems, instrumentation, or metrology environments
  • Understanding of measurement uncertainty and traceability concepts is a plus
