Position Title: QC Inspector/CMM Operator
Employment Type & Schedule: Direct Hire – Full Benefits – Day Shift, M-F
Compensation: $31 – 40/hr. (D.O.E.)
ITAR Requirements: Perm. Residency/Green Card or U.S. Citizenship Required

Company Overview:
With over fifty years of proud service to the aerospace, defense, and medical device industries, our precision machining client is under new ownership and eager to take the firm to new heights. Their Quality Control Department is currently seeking candidates who bring a strong foundation in GD&T, QC Documentation, and CMM Operation/Programming from precision manufacturing environments. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Program and operate Zeiss Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) using Calypso software.
  • Develop CMM programs from customer-supplied .stp and CATIA files.
  • Perform First Article Inspections and generate AS9100-compliant First Article Reports.
  • Integrate inspection data with Net-Inspect and maintain accurate quality records.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of in-process and finished products, utilizing a variety of precision measurement tools.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and standards, including ANSI Y14.5M dimensioning and tolerancing.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Participate in root cause analyses and prepare corrective action documentation as needed.

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years in quality control or inspection, preferably in the aerospace or precision manufacturing industry.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Advanced knowledge of Zeiss CMM operation and programming.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Expertise in interpreting blueprints and GD&T standards.
  • Experience preparing First Article Reports to meet AS9100 standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to effectively interact with production personnel and management.
