Delta ModTech Machine Set-up Operator

CalTek Staffing is seeking a skilled Delta ModTech Operator for a leading manufacturer specializing in high-quality adhesives, electrodes, and hydrogels for the medical device industry. This is an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment and contribute to the production of specialized products crafted from a variety of advanced materials.

Position Overview

As a Delta ModTech Machine Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient set-up and operation of a Delta ModTech converting system. Your expertise will be pivotal in maintaining production quality and exploring new applications in collaboration with the company’s R&D Engineering and Production Departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly review job orders to understand project specifications and requirements.
  • Prepare and configure the Delta ModTech Crusader converting system for production runs.
  • Monitor and assess product quality throughout the production process, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
  • Identify and resolve operational issues related to press performance.
  • Perform regular maintenance, calibration, and cleaning of equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Accurately complete all required production and quality documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the development of innovative products and applications.
  • Maintain productivity goals while minimizing material waste.

Skills and Expertise

  • Proven experience in operating Delta ModTech Crusader systems, with a solid understanding of its proprietary software and mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency in setting up and troubleshooting web handling components, including tension control systems and die-cutting modules.
  • Familiarity with precision tools such as calipers (dial and digital) for inspection and measurement.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on process improvement and equipment efficiency.
  • Knowledge of various materials, such as film stocks and adhesives, commonly used in high-precision manufacturing.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and translate them into production-ready configurations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience operating and maintaining Delta ModTech Crusader or similar converting systems.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and quality standards in manufacturing environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production setting while managing multiple priorities.
  • Basic computer literacy and familiarity with production-related software tools.
