This position is responsible for delivering competitive cost estimates on new bids and executing awarded projects to ensure their completion within the parameters of the established project budget.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:

Conduct initial analysis of drawings and specifications to ensure required documentation is present and determine scope of work.

Develop full-scope estimates based on Bid-Build, Design-Build or CM/GC construction documents.

Critically analyze bid documents and understand risk and opportunities and articulate those to management.

Help contractors prepare budgets.
-
Perform complete structural steel and misc. metals takeoffs.

Prepare proposals.
-
Deliver proposals and exchange project information with clients.
-
Create and manage RFI’s.
-
Coordinate with sub-contractors, suppliers and clients.
-
Work with CEO and General Manager to ensure contracts being bid meet agreed criteria.

Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Manage detailing, fabrication, and installation schedules to meet the needs of projects.

Identify, price, and settle change orders.

QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION:
1. High School Diploma or GED
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
1. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
2. Knowledge of Tekla EPM (FabSuite) is strongly preferred.
3. Familiar with AWS D1.1 and AISC Code of Standard Practice.
