We are a Los Angeles, CA manufacturing and engineering staffing agency specializing in recruiting Predictive Maintenance Technicians for aerospace, food processing, packaging, and high‑reliability manufacturing environments.

Our client is a leading production and operations company supporting Los Angeles’ diverse industrial sector, including aerospace component manufacturing, food & beverage plants, packaging facilities, and high‑volume consumer‑goods operations. Their predictive maintenance team uses advanced diagnostic tools to monitor equipment health, prevent failures, and improve long‑term asset reliability.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasound testing, and oil analysis on plant equipment.
  • Monitor equipment condition and identify early‑stage mechanical, electrical, or lubrication issues.
  • Collect, trend, and interpret data from sensors, analyzers, and condition‑monitoring systems.
  • Inspect motors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, conveyors, compressors, and rotating equipment.
  • Document findings, generate reports, and recommend corrective actions to maintenance leadership.
  • Support predictive maintenance routes and update CMMS with condition‑monitoring data.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to schedule repairs based on equipment health.
  • Assist with root‑cause analysis and reliability‑improvement initiatives.
  • Install and maintain vibration sensors, temperature probes, and condition‑monitoring hardware.
  • Support lubrication programs including sampling, contamination control, and oil‑quality monitoring.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and California industrial safety regulations.
  • Participate in continuous‑improvement programs focused on uptime, reliability, and asset performance.
  • Maintain clean, safe work areas and follow all company safety protocols.

Education

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Technical school training in Industrial Maintenance, Reliability, Mechanical Technology, or related field preferred.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in predictive maintenance, reliability, or industrial maintenance roles.
  • Hands‑on experience with vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasound, or oil analysis.
  • Ability to interpret vibration spectra, thermographic images, and lubrication reports.
  • Strong mechanical understanding of motors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, and rotating equipment.
  • Experience with CMMS platforms and condition‑monitoring software.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards and California regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications such as Vibration Analysis Level I/II, Thermography Level I, or Lubrication Technician certifications.
  • Experience in aerospace, food & beverage, packaging, or high‑volume manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with PLCs, sensors, and industrial automation systems.
  • Experience with reliability‑centered maintenance (RCM) or TPM programs.
  • Background in rotating‑equipment alignment, balancing, or precision maintenance.
