Their maintenance leadership team oversees technicians, coordinates preventive and corrective maintenance, manages equipment reliability, and ensures safe, efficient facility operations. Typical Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, and mentor maintenance technicians across mechanical, electrical, and facility systems.
- Plan, prioritize, and assign daily maintenance tasks, PMs, and repair activities.
- Oversee troubleshooting and repair of production machinery, conveyors, motors, pumps, HVAC components, and facility equipment.
- Ensure all maintenance work complies with OSHA, NEC, NFPA, Title 24, and California safety regulations.
- Review work orders, verify completion, and maintain accurate CMMS records.
- Coordinate with production, engineering, and operations teams to minimize downtime.
- Lead root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve equipment reliability.
- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and system modifications.
- Monitor spare‑parts inventory and coordinate with purchasing for materials and supplies.
- Support planning and execution of shutdowns, overhauls, and major maintenance events.
- Conduct safety meetings, toolbox talks, and enforce company safety policies.
- Evaluate technician performance and support ongoing training and development.
- Prepare maintenance reports, KPIs, and performance metrics for leadership review.
- Ensure clean, organized, and safe maintenance work areas.
Education
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical school training in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical/Electrical Technology, or related field preferred.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Industrial Technology is a plus.
Required Skills and Experience
- 5–10+ years of experience in industrial or facilities maintenance, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with conveyors, motors, pumps, gearboxes, packaging equipment, or production machinery.
- Knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical systems.
- Proficiency with CMMS platforms for scheduling and work‑order management.
- Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards and California regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team‑management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.
- Strong organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in food & beverage, aerospace, logistics, or high‑volume manufacturing.
- Familiarity with PLCs (Allen‑Bradley, Siemens) and automation equipment.
- Certifications such as OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, or maintenance‑leadership credentials.
- Experience with TPM, RCM, or continuous‑improvement programs.
- Background in lean manufacturing or Six Sigma.
