Their maintenance teams perform troubleshooting, repairs, preventive maintenance, and system upgrades on industrial equipment including conveyors, motors, pumps, automation systems, packaging machinery, and facility utilities. With Denver’s expanding industrial base and nonstop production schedules, this role is essential for ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient equipment operation.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial equipment including conveyors, motors, pumps, gearboxes, and production machinery.
- Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Diagnose issues with PLCs, sensors, VFDs, relays, and industrial control circuits.
- Repair and maintain packaging equipment, mixers, fillers, ovens, compressors, and material‑handling systems.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and equipment manuals.
- Perform mechanical repairs including bearing replacement, belt alignment, chain tensioning, and lubrication.
- Perform electrical tasks including motor wiring, control‑panel troubleshooting, and component replacement.
- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and system modifications.
- Perform welding, fabrication, and basic machining as needed for equipment repair.
- Document maintenance activities, parts usage, and equipment performance in CMMS systems.
- Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, NEC, NFPA, and Colorado industrial safety regulations.
- Support root‑cause analysis and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
- Maintain clean, safe work areas and follow all company safety protocols.
- Participate in on‑call rotation for after‑hours emergencies.
Education
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical school training in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Electrical Technology, or related field preferred.
Required Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing maintenance, or multi‑craft technician roles.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with motors, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, and production machinery.
- Ability to troubleshoot PLCs, sensors, VFDs, and control circuits (basic to intermediate).
- Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, diagnostic meters, and industrial maintenance equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
- Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards and industrial best practices.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in food & beverage processing, aerospace manufacturing, or high‑volume production.
- Familiarity with PLC platforms such as Allen‑Bradley or Siemens.
- Experience with welding, fabrication, or machining.
- Certifications such as OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, or industrial maintenance credentials.
- Experience with CMMS systems for work orders and preventive maintenance.
- Background in automation, robotics, or advanced manufacturing equipment.
