Typical Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enforce BIM standards, templates, and project execution plans.
- Create and manage federated Revit models, perform clash detection in Navisworks, and coordinate multidisciplinary model integration.
- Produce construction‑grade 3D models, 4D schedules, and 5D cost linkages to support sequencing and estimating.
- Coordinate with design, MEP, structural, and civil teams to resolve model conflicts and ensure constructability.
- Generate shop‑drawing level extractions, fabrication models, and as‑built deliverables.
- Support site coordination using model‑based layout, laser scanning, and point‑cloud registration.
- Maintain model QA/QC, version control, and model‑to‑field workflows; update models to reflect RFI and change‑order outcomes.
- Train project teams on BIM/VDC tools and best practices; lead weekly coordination and model‑review sessions.
- Assist with BIM deliverables for permitting, prefabrication, and commissioning activities.
- Document BIM processes and produce audit‑ready model reports for clients and stakeholders
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Civil/Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Technical certifications in Revit, Navisworks, or BIM Management are highly valued.
Required Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of hands‑on BIM/VDC experience on large commercial, data center, or industrial projects.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud, and clash‑detection workflows.
- Strong MEP coordination experience and ability to interpret construction documents and shop drawings.
- Experience with laser scanning, point‑cloud processing, and model‑to‑field verification.
- Excellent communication skills for cross‑discipline coordination and client interaction.
- Proven track record of improving coordination efficiency and reducing field rework through model‑based delivery.
